Supersition Mountains Night Drive for Canyon Treefrogs

 

 

During the monsoon rains in Arizona during he summer, amphibians take advantage of the brief period, when water is plentiful, to emerge and breed.

 

A large predatory species of locust out on the road.   This individual was approximately

3.5-4inches long and had been dragging a dead gecko off the road until disturbed.

If you look closely there are actually 5 frogs in this frame (at least 5 that I counted.  Let me know if you find more).
