Went night driving around Wickenburg, AZ.  We were hoping for speckeld rattlesnakes which were not found but overall the night was fairly productive and diverse.

 

A solid red color phase Ground Snake (Sonora semiannulata)

There were also quite a few Bnded Sand Snakes (Chilomeniscus stramineus) out this evening.

This is a  Huntsman Spider.  They are a little larger than a quarter and the unique and interesting

thing about this species is that their eyes shine and reflect light at night much like a cat or a deer.

They can thus be seen from a vehicle whole driving even if you are going 50+mph, if you are

looking for them that is.
