Petrified Forest NP, Painted Desert, Canyon de Chelley NM, Kaibab Plateau Arizona

This exceedingly lengthy weekend trip was actually not meant to be a reptile seeking expidition given the fact that November is not the best month for snakes. I couldn't quite manage to do the entire trip without finding one however.

Canyon de Chelley National Monument. I didn't get to spend as much time exploring here as I woudl like.
I will probably return this season as the bottom of the canyon looks very tempting to explore.

The only, and very unexpected snake of the trip. A baby Grand Canyon rattlesnake (Crotalus abyssus) out on the
road at night in winter near the Vermillion Cliffs.
